A Velux conversion is when the new room/s is formed within the existing loft space meaning that the actual profile of the roof is not altered.

Velux roof-lights are installed into the roof slope for natural light and ventilation. There are many different sizes of Velux roof-lights to choose from and you can even make a feature out of them if you wish.

Don’t forget, the floor space and headroom in a Velux conversion is determined by what is already available therefore they work well for properties that have a high loft space to begin with.
